Design & Style

KTM has unveiled the all-new revamped look on its Duke 390 The classic Kampster look which we know so much from KTM, just became way more aggressive this time (probably suited for a streetfighter). The tank extensions are hyper sharp, LED headlights split up and it has an edgy tail design that gives it a train appearance.

The frame and subframe have been made a bit more for looks on the bike, to improve its directness. It is a really quite bike with its bare trellis frame, bright paint jobs and high quality art and finish that you notice it even at the side of the road.

Engine & Performance

2024- Duke 390; Best bike in its class besides; biggest changes are in the engine. KTM has raised capacity from 373 cc all the way up to 398.7cc, and as a result it has more juice and better, smother delivery. The engine now produces 46 PS and a torque of 39 Nm making it even more fun to ride.

Trials by wire throttle control for exact throttle response,and quick shift (up down) means gear changes are smooth clutchless.

Ride & Handling

The Duke 390 has been quick on two wheels from time immemorial and, it gets even better. Lightweight frame and curved swingarm with adjustable front/rear suspension add noticeable improvement to the ride.

Mileage / Fuel Economy

Performance bikes are rarely ridden for thousands of miles and the Duke 390 is no different. KTM also says, about KTM Duke 400 then that it should give around 27–30 kmpl (due to riding style, depending on whether you ride out often or are mostly weekend warrior and depending on traffic)

The 15litre fuel tank on it, to me is a medium range ~400km for sure, which makes it fairly useful for weekend hopping/driving if you can swallow premium and regular servicing like hell.

Price & Variants

KTM 2024 KUst Dukho 390 costs around ₹3.11 lakhs (ex-showroom). We have the only variant at the time, but KTM could roll out limited editions in the future.

Sounds pricey but the performance, signature design and add on features surely far outweigh the price. It is not just a bike it is experience.
